Northwest Central PA Emergency Response Group

The August meeting of the NWCPAERG Executive Committee will be on August 20, 2008 at the Elk County Courthouse Annex Building.  The Meeting Starts at 11:00 AM.

The Northwest Central Emergency Response Group will be recognized as a Task Force with the responsibility to protect human life, work to mitigate emergencies and respond to man made and natural disasters throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  This will be accomplished through the integration of Federal, State and Local agencies by the means of training and regional networking.

Elk County Regional Medical Center in conjunction with Elk County Office of Emergency Services and the Northwest Central PA Emergency Response Group, conducted a functional exercise on June 30, 2008.  The scenario involved an intentional explosion of a liquid oxygen tank.

The Northwest Central PA Emergency Response Group Medical Subcommittee conducted a tabletop exercise involving all of the hospitals in the region. 

Cameron County School District along with Cameron County Office of Emergency Services is planning a functional exercise with a school shooting scenario for August 22, 2008.

McKean County will be hosting an exercise with ARG in September.
