Northwest Central PA Emergency Response Group

NWCPAERG will now be holding quarterly executive meetings.  The next meeting will be held on July 8, 2009

The Northwest Central Emergency Response Group will be recognized as a Task Force with the responsibility to protect human life, work to mitigate emergencies and respond to man made and natural disasters throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  This will be accomplished through the integration of Federal, State and Local agencies by the means of training and regional networking.

Clearfield and Jefferson County CARTs are pleased to host an “Intro to Agricultural Emergencies” Course to be held this July. The lead instructor is Davis Hill, of PSU. It will be a two day class (both days being mandatory for certification). We will be encouraging participation from our local fire departments to better gain a working relationship among organizations. CART members must be level 1 trained to qualify. There is a 50.00 deposit which will be returned upon successful completion.  

Please forward the attached course description and registration form to your County Animal Response Team members. We would like the CARTs within the North West Central Emergency Response Group to have a chance to attend (“first dibbs”). We’ll be opening this out to CARTs statewide.
