NIMS ICS 300 - Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents

This Management course is designed for all personnel who are expected to perform in a supervisory or tactical level management role at an incident or event. This includes individuals who may serve as Incident Commander, Command Staff, General Staff, Division or Group Supervisors, Branch Directors, Strike Team or Task Force Leaders, Unit Leaders or Emergency Operations Staff. The course is designed for a multi-discipline audience and will provide training on and resources for personnel who require an advanced application of ICS. Students participating in this course will develop a thorough understanding of ICS with an emphasis on the responsibilities of the Incident Commander, Operations Chief, Planning Chief, Logistics Chief, Finance Chief and all associated subordinate positions. According to the NIMS Integration Center in Washington D.C., ICS 300 is required training in Fiscal Year 2007 for anyone who may hold any of the above mentioned positions at an emergency. Students completing this course will receive a certificate from the PA State Fire Academy and Butler County Community College for Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents, ICS-300. Continuing education credits from the PA Department of Health will be announced.
